I AM STRENGTHENED
I need the peace of God today! My mind says that I do not have it. It jumps from circumstance to circumstance in a panic and says, “Your God has left you.”
That’s a lie! My Father promised to never leave me or forsake me.
Truth is not found in our mind. The mind of the flesh does not set the standard for truth. Truth is the Word of God--that alone is truth. All else is false and a lie from the devil.
Fear is faith in Satan’s word and I have absolutely no faith in Satan. Trust is faith in God’s Word and brings rest to the soul. Why should I believe the lies of Satan when I can believe the truth of God’s Word? Peace comes from believing my Father’s Word. My Father never lies.
I have the comfort and assurance of God’s Word so that I can be comforted and live in His peace. Didn’t Jesus say? “I will not leave you comfortless. I will come to you.”
The Comforter has come! He is here. He lives within my heart. My poor stupid mind doesn’t have the sense to know this, so I must believe it in my heart.
I cannot afford to listen to my mind. My mind listens to the devil, but my heart believes and loves God. If I listen to both, I will be double-minded and a double-minded man, the scriptures, say is unstable in all of his ways. He is like the waves of the sea--tossed and driven. See James 1:6-8.
My Father knows exactly what I need and He has supplied all of my needs--not just according to my faith, but according to His riches in glory. He did all of this by His Son, Christ Jesus. Christ lives within me, therefore, all of my needs have been supplied!
I will not fear because I refuse to believe Satan’s words. They are contrary to my Father’s Word, and I will not call my Father a liar. Fear is an emotional response to a lie, and I will not be ruled by lies.
My mind is a liar because it has been trained by the devil. That is why I cannot listen to my mind.
I will pay heed to my Father’s Word. I am comforted and made strong because of His Word. His promise is, “As thy day, so shall be thy strength.” “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength...”--Isa. 40:31
I am renewed according to His Word. His promise is strength and truth. I live because of His promise and truth. So, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Fear comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Satan.
There are only two sources we can believe--God or the devil! Which one do you believe?
