MY FAMILY:
Johnny Mays and Judy have been married for thirty-eight years. Together they have six children and fifteen grandchildren. Judy has been a preschool and kindergarten teacher for more than twenty-five years. Judy is currently the Assistant Director and Kindergarten teacher for the Gathering Place Church in Folsom, California.

LIFE SUMMARY:
I was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1966 as a Vietnam Veteran. I then decide to take up a childhood dream as a singer and a musician. For the next seven years I performed with dance and show bands as well as local television in Sacramento, CA. Near the end of my professional music career, I performed in the road show of the famous country singer Merle Haggard, it was during this tour that I encountered the Word of God and came to Christ. After leaving the country music scene in 1973, I took up my studies in Christian Ministries. With this education, I have spent the last thirty-one years preaching and doing the work of the ministry. Through all of this I have developed a volume of experience. The experience of working among people in many nations, is my most important advantage.

TRAVELS:
My journeys have taken me all over the South Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. I have journeyed into all fifty states of the Union and thirty countries. Just recently I returned from my fifteenth tour to Russia. All of these ingredients of hands on experience add to the recipe for understanding the world and people.

My formal education has been predominately in the sphere of the scripture, public relations, philosophy, religion and psychology, which together have formalized my education. For this I received a Doctorate of Ministry from Friends International Christian University of Merced, California. 2004: Berean School of The Bible, 1973: Missionary Baptist College

THE MISSIONARY/PASTOR/EVANGELIST:
I have developed and assisted in the development of churches, schools, television and radio ministries in the states and around the world. My ministry is to create the facilitation’s for a new congregation, by locating assemblage buildings, forming a staff and offices and then implementing the educational programs to the congregation. These positions also ask me to, develop community involvement, to promote an atmosphere of friendliness and public relations with the congregation and the citizens of the community for the purpose of harmony and community acceptance of the newly constructed congregations.

NEW CHURCH FACILITATOR/STRATEGIST:

PUBLIC SERVANT: Since November of 2006  have serves as Mayor pro-Tem on the city council of Dos Palos, California. I also as a director of the Merced County Association of Government. I recent visited Washington DC with One Voice Coalition, advocating for our regional, transportation, education, economic development and water.
